Greetings from Yaounde, and thank you for your prayers!

Our flights went off pretty much without a hitch. We were able to walk away from the planes, and the planes could be used again, so they were good flights. We’re still trying to catch up on sleep, but we are thankful that God has granted us good health.
The whole team is here, and we get along well. We spent the morning being oriented to African culture and conduct and reminded of some of the peculiarities of life in Cameroon.
- Don’t cross your legs or ankles when you sit down.
- People who do not look you in the eye when you talk to them are showing deference.
- Always carry a stash of toilet paper on your person.
- If you don’t really want to eat the snails, just say your stomach can’t handle them.
Then we spent the afternoon shopping for necessities for the trip to the village of Ndjibot, where the first workshop will take place.
I’ll try to include a picture of the team and bios of the interns next time.
Meantime, please pray that we will be safe on the road and gracious to our expat and Baka hosts when we arrive.
